Overview

There are several regattas through the rec rowing season. The Recreation "Rec" regattas are later in the season and involve a little bit of racing and a whole lot of fun. Crews are selected by the Head Coach according to skill, size and gender. Racing will be in "eights" only.

Jim Stone Regatta (St. Catharines)
The Jim Stone Regatta is a 2000m side-by-side race on the famous Royal Canadian Henley Regatta Course.
There must be one master rower (30+) per crew, and a minimum of four (4) women rowers. Open bar and entertainment for all!

The Head of the Ohio Regatta

The Head of The Ohio regatta is held in the fall on the Allegheny River, and the course is slightly over 4 kilmetres in length. Over 4,000 participants make their way to Pittsburgh each year to participate. There are men's, women's and mixed races, as well as all skill and age levels. Rec. rowers travel to Pittsburgh along with Bayside competitive rowers and stay in the same hotel - The Doubletree. There is lots of time to watch races and see the city as you will be there for the whole weekend, leaving on Friday and returning Sunday.
