Rowing is a sport for men and women of all ages. At
Bayside, you will be taught the basics of rowing in a friendly,
social environment. Teams of eighteen (18) are usually made up of
friends, family and/or co-workers. Rowing is very easy to learn,
and before you know it, you will gain the skills necessary to enjoy
the sport... racing can be fun too!
The league runs once per week, offered Monday through
Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m, 7:00 p.m, or 8:00 p.m.
Rowers will train in "Viking Boats". Click
here to see Viking Boat rowing in action. As crews gain experience
and practice, coaches will move on to more advanced skills such
as developing a sense of rhythm, relaxation and rowing in time with
your crew. These are the skills that you will acquire to make your
rowing look effortless. at the conclusion of the league there is
a fun regatta where crews race each other to determine
the winners in a variety of categories. Those who wish to continue
